Meet Your Guide to Personal Growth

Biography
Dr Lynnette Magasa is a seasoned entrepreneur, business leader, and mentor with over two decades of experience across engineering, telecommunications, and enterprise development. Her journey began with no formal engineering background or venture capital, yet through resilience, discipline, and execution, she built what is now an internationally recognised group of companies operating across Africa and beyond.
As Founder and CEO of Boniswa Group, she has led large-scale infrastructure projects, grown multidisciplinary teams, and navigated complex markets while remaining deeply committed to transformation and inclusive growth. Her lived experience informs her work with founders, executives, and institutions seeking sustainable, real-world business outcomes.
Mission
Dr Magasa’s mission is to develop resilient, disciplined entrepreneurs who understand that sustainable businesses are built through systems, accountability, and long-term thinking - not shortcuts. She is committed to advancing entrepreneurship as a practical economic tool, particularly for emerging entrepreneurs, youth, and under-resourced communities.
Through her work, she bridges the gap between ambition and execution, helping founders and organisations move from ideas to operating businesses that can withstand market pressure, create employment, and contribute meaningfully to economic development across Africa.
The Method
Her approach is grounded in real operating experience and focuses on building strong business foundations before scale. Rather than theory-heavy or motivational models, Dr Magasa emphasises structure, financial discipline, governance, and execution - the elements that determine whether a business survives beyond its early stages.
This methodology is captured in her book, Entrepreneurship Start-Up Guide, which is used as a practical resource by entrepreneurs, development programmes, and organisations committed to building capable, investment-ready business leaders. The guide reflects a systems-driven approach to entrepreneurship, shaped by years of building, failing, learning, and leading in demanding environments.
